Using the Renesas ISL 9420EVKIT1Z, I was able to test the main BMS board, with both lithium ion 18650 batteries, as well as with a battery simulator. This is a kit that allows companies, developers, to test the "Renesas" BMS before applying in their products, and allows a good understanding of operation, variety of testings and settings. Recently I used this kit for a few testings, and since I didn't have a power supply to provide energy to the battery simulator, I used the two solar modules I had previously manufactured to provide power. Both panels in series were able to provide the required 30 V and 1 A. Using the modules ended up being better than expected because I was able to play with the shading in the modules to cause a lower voltage in the battery simulator. It allowed me to observe the BMS respond under lower voltage, cell unbalance, and other fault conditions. Although I was not able to perform any charging, as I didn't have any high voltage supply, it was interesting to observe how this BMS responds. Looking forward to use a consistent power supply in the future, and perform more testings such as charging, discharging, and balancing.

PS: Video with batteries was recorded last year (2019), I no longer have batteries with me at the moment, but also hoping to get some soon. The other two are from 2020.
